That's the beauty of Twitter and social media. You get to meet with amazing people. In real life I mean, I'm not talking about your virtual meetings, "chatroulette" and the likes.
The beautiful Bridget Davis AKA The Internet Chef
A little while ago, I got to meet the incredibly inspiring @iconic88 at one of the North Sydney Coffee Mornings. If you've never heard of @iconic88 AKA Internet's Chief Happiness Officer before, I urge you to follow him on Twitter this very minute, it's like having your own Dalai-Lama application on your computer; and if you have already heard of him, then join us tonight for a very special event in Sydney, as @iconic88 will finally reveal his true identity and tell us about his sources of inspiration and amazing life journey.
Anyway, the day I met with @iconic88, I also met his partner in crime - and in life - the lovely @Bridget_cooks. Bridget Davis AKA The Internet Chef is an world-class chef from New Zealand, now based in Sydney. She was the head chef for Bill Granger in his famous Sydney institution Bill's, and has cooked alongside some of the best chefs in the world, including Australia's #1 chef Testuya Wakuda.
Once a month or so, @Bridget_cooks and @iconic88 invite a couple of their Twitter friends and opinion leaders and treat them to a fantastic morning of food and networking in the Electrolux Australia state-of-the-art induction kitchen in Mascot.
Earlier this month I had the pleasure to be invited to one of these very special breakfasts along with other Twitter regulars @CarmR, @IggyPintado, @KerryPintado, @paulwallbank and SBS_food. And Oh My God, were we in for a treat... Bridget cooked up a storm and treated us to the most delicious six-course degustation breakfast!
On the menu? Organic scrambled eggs on toast, with caviar and avocado oil from New Zealand (one of Bridget's tips is to use a spoonful of creamed corn and sugar in your scrambled eggs).
Ocean trout confit with black truffle oil, fennel, capers and avocado tatin.
Shallow-fried goat cheese with honey, on crumpets
Beans with prosciutto, cumin seeds and Marsala
Poached peaches with aniseed, cinnamon and home-made clove-and-vanilla butter
One hell of a breakfast indeed!! And the best thing about Bridget's breakfast is... Bridget herself! She's one of these larger than life characters, always laughing, super sweet, extremely talented and really down to earth, even though she's a cooking superstar.
How beautiful is this Maori tatoo Bridget has on her right hand?!
So watch that space because @Bridget_Cooks and @iconic88 have like a thousand projects on the back burner, including a fantastic cookbook/website/online cooking community and a super cool sandwich event involving some of Australia's best chefs. Jesus, this power couple have a diary busier than the Obamas'!!
So tell me, dear reader, what's the most decadent breakfast you've ever had?
Visit www.theinternetchef.biz for more yummy goodies and delicious recipes from Bridget.

Thanks for compiling this great post! As for your question about most decadent breakfast? I was there as you mentioned and it's hard to beat the fabulous courses presented by Bridget on this day.
For those who want to meet Bridget on video, here she is taken on the day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0ooGkQ05-I

WOW!!!! Thank you so much Myriam. We are so touched by your warmth in your words and thoughts.
At times like these intimate gatherings, the food is always enhanced by amazing company like everyone who was there.
Thank you for coming and I'm sure it won't be the last time we break bread.
By the way Myriam, you honour Bridget immensely with your last pic. That pic itself represents who we are, where we're from and where we're going. You have paid homage to all our family and ancestors. And to that, merci beaucoup à notre amie. [Hope that last line makes sense Myriam].

iconic88 > thank you so much for your comment, I'm really touched... I'm glad you and Bridget liked the story as well as the pictures - including that of her Maori tattoo!
I can't wait to taste more of Bridget's gorgeous food - bring on The Internet Chef's cookbook, I'll be among the first to buy it and cook recipes from it with my lovely fiance!

He he he, thank you Lorraine!! I know, I'm still salivating at the thought of Bridget's ricotta drops and trout confit... Stay tuned, I know Mahei and Bridget have been working on an iPhone foodie app for The Internet Chef, definitely an app I will get ;-)
